After months of speculation - and three months after Sony announced the PS4 – Microsoft has stood up and given the world a glimpse of the brand new Xbox One (previously thought to be called Xbox 720). Here's the information on the new Xbox One release date, specs and price in the UK article. See Xbox One launch: as it happened.

New Xbox One release date in the UK

Let's start with the most important (probably) thing shall we? When is the Xbox One's release date in the UK?
This is an interesting one, as the Xbox One's UK - or worldwide - release date was not officially announced. That said, Autumn 2013 was given as a very loose date. Take a look at Does the Xbox One require an always-on internet connection?
We've done a little digging here though, and we've found something rather interesting… the online retailer Zavvi advertising the new Xbox One's release date as 30 November 2013. Visit PS4 release date and specs confirmed.

Now, we know what you are thinking, “30 November is definitely more winter than Autumn, so this is nonsense”. It is, you're right, but what you need to bear in mind is that 30 November is quoted on the Zavvi website as the UK's release date, and you can bet your bottom dollar that the Xbox One will arrive in America before it reaches dear old Blighty…making 30 November seem quite feasible, especially when you consider what special money hemorrhaging occasion takes place a mere 25 days later. (By Matt Egan) The Xbox One is much more than just a games console. It is a set-top box that allows the user to watch TV, Skype, listen to audio and browse the web. And it can do these things simultaneously, using the Windows 'Snap' feature. "This is the beginning of truly intelligent TV," said Microsoft's Yusuf Mehdi.
The new Xbox One has a new processor, 8GB of memory, a Blu-ray Disc drive and 500GB hard-disk drive and Wi-Fi Direct. It's based on a new architecture that combines a dedicated Xbox architecture with the Windows kernel, on which web apps are run. Microsoft described it as running three operating systems at once.
The Xbox One is controlled by a combination of voice, gesture, the controller and the user's smartphone or tablet. "Xbox On," said Mehdi during the demonstration. The Xbox One is controllable via voice, and proved it by springing to life and presenting a personalised home screen.
Mehdi skipped through a series of commands during his demonstration: "Xbox, watch TV" and so on. It worked seamlessly during the demo, or at least appeared to.
